Fuel

Every time you eat is an opportunity to nourish and fuel your body.

Overtime, society has created a mass divide between food and its evolutionary role to fuel our bodies. It has been glorified as an exquisite quest for flavors, indulgence and social experiences at the expense of the true intended value: nutritional content.

The result? Severe health conditions, diet fads and an unsustainable supply chain.

A healthy lifestyle is said to be a balance of 80% diet and 20% exercise. In short, our bodies are designed to be fueled.

Plant-based or plant-forward eating patterns can mend this divide and create a healthy lifestyle.

What is plant-based?

Plant-based focuses on foods primarily from plants, and includes not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans.

Plant-based also avoids processed foods that are canned or bagged with additives and preservatives. There is an emphasis on fresh, seasonal and sustainable.

Lastly, eating nutrient dense food does not automatically mean dissatisfying our taste buds.

My commitment to you is proving that eating good food can be simple and taste good while preserving its role in our daily lives.

.

Plant-based is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Once you make the choice to treat your body the way it was designed to feel, you make your own rules.”

Plant-Based

A plant-based lifestyle is one of the easiest ways to reach optimal health. Plants are full of fiber, rich in vitamins and minerals, free of cholesterol, and low in calories and saturated fat. Eating a variety of these foods provides all the protein, calcium, and other essential nutrients your body needs (aka fuel).

Sustainable & Seasonal

Research shows that meat and dairy products are fueling the climate crisis, while plant-forward eating patterns help protect the planet. In general, animal products require more resources and cause higher emissions. Livestock herds are the second largest contributor to global warming after carbon dioxide.

Even if you’re committed to plant-forward eating, there is still one more step. Our mass-produced world gives us everything regardless of the season. But, the reality is the readily available, out of season, fresh produce is either chemically enhanced to increase its shelf life or is transported across the world to reach our shelves.
